The beach above is between access 7 and Bowman’s beach. Sarah and I have walked to Bowman’s a few times, and every time, we find excellent shells and enjoy a special (and somewhat rare) feeling of isolation. We call this area “lost beach”.
This photo was taken on September 1, 2013. To the Islanders, September means quiet. Even on this Labor Day weekend, as you can see in this picture, you won’t find many people on the West Gulf beaches.
